
We seek a detail-oriented Research Assistant or Research Associate to support animal studies, cell culture, flow cytometry, and day-to-day lab operations. This role is ideal for candidates who want strong technical training and authorship opportunities.
Responsibilities
Rodent colony support, genotyping, tissue processing, and sample logistics
Primary cell isolation, culture, viability and functional assays
Flow cytometry setup, staining, acquisition, and preliminary analysis
Inventory, ordering, and basic equipment maintenance
Compliance support, IACUC and biosafety documentation, data entry into shared trackers
Meticulous record-keeping in electronic lab notebooks
Required Qualifications
BS, MS or PhD in life sciences
At least two of the following: mouse handling, primary cell culture, or flow cytometry
Preferrred Qualifications
RNA extraction, qPCR, or library prep experience
Basic scripting in R or Python, or willingness to learn
Prior experience in immunology or reproductive biology
Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication
Training & Growth

Opportunities to present data, co-author manuscripts, and learn new methods
Appointment and Support
Start window: Fall 2025
Term: full time, renewable annually
